How Do You Get Parts for a Rainbow Vacuum?

Jane owns a Rainbow vacuum cleaner and loves it. Ever since the first night she let Randy, her demonstrator come over and show her and Bill how good the Rainbow vacuum cleaner really is she loved it.

She was amazed at how dirty the water had turned inside the Rainbow vacuum water basin. Randy, her Rainbow vacuum salesman, had just vacuumed a small three foot square area of her light beige carpet after her husband had gone over that spot 50 times, back and forth, with her old vacuum cleaner.

Actually, her old vacuum was brand new, it was only 3 months old. The problem was, according to Randy the Rainbow vacuum guy, that all the little holes in the bag of her old vacuum had stopped up causing it to lose air flow. Air flow?

Jane thought suction was what picked up stuff off the floor. Randy had heard this response dozens if not hundreds of times before so he knew that Jane was playing along according to the script that is played thousands of times a day all across the county.

Only Jane had not rehearsed the play and Randy had. Jane and Bill ended up owning a Rainbow vacuum cleaner that night and have loved the way it has performed ever since. That is until one day when they called Randy to order some more of the Mulberry oil based fragrances.

It made the whole house smell wonderful every time they used their Rainbow vacuum. The problem was that when they called Randy he was not there. Not only was Randy not there but the office number had been disconnected with no forwarding information.

Scenarios like this are common and will continue to be so. The reason it happens is that vacuum cleaner distributors are just like any other direct sales organization.

Sometimes sales are good, sometimes they are so bad that the distributor cannot stay in business so it closes the doors, leaving customers high and dry and no local office to get parts and supplies.

Steve McArthur saw a need for Rainbow vacuum parts and has been filling the need for since 1998 on the web.

Overview of Depression

Friday 10 August 2007 @ 5:57 am

People can be depressed for short periods of time in a natural manner due to a job loss, a death or a failed task of major importance, for instance. However, when a person’s depression lasts a long time, serious clinical depression, known as an illness or disorder, can be an issue, affecting family, work… nearly everything in the sufferer’s life.

Some of the basic symptoms of depression are:

- Overriding sadness
- Loss of energy
- Loss of hope and pleasure - in life, in others, in working towards your life’s goals… in anything…
- Difficulty focusing and concentrating
- Frequent irrational emotional displays like crying
- Headaches and other types of body-aches and irregularities
- Lack of sleep or too much sleep
- Loss of appetite and weight suddenly

Types and Causes of Depression

Health sciences note different types and causes of depression. Some major types are:

1. Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression - this is largely due to a chemical imbalance in the brain, and may be a result of extreme stress or even an inherited condition due to genetics. Symptoms can include sudden mood changes due to the sufferer feeling ‘high’ or at an elevated state one moment, and ‘low’ or at a very low state the next.

2. Postpartum depression can have a prolonged state. The sufferer can exhibit extreme sadness, normally after the woman gives birth and physically undergoes the stress of actual childbirth on top of her other important life stresses. For example, the woman could be overwhelmed with a variety of duties, job things to do, family and personal responsibilities, financial woes, past memory- triggered events due to the new baby’s arrival and more.

You can see your family physician or other healthcare provider for helpful resources and treatments with depressions. Some main causes of depression are:

1. Exaggerated expectation - too many people try to ‘do it all’ and be like a super-human, working full time plus a part time job and moonlighting, raising children, being a good marriage partner and community supporter, etc.

2. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and other disorder - can cause people with them to be depressed. It can be difficult facing and handling treatment, thinking others are healthier and better off, which is not so. Group and individual therapy with a qualified psychologist, and / or a good 12-step program can often help people come to terms with their disabilities and go on to success in spite of them - -with them.

3. Seasons - Many people find a decrease in daylight, like during winter time months, can and does affect their internal environment, resulting in depression. Light therapy is said to work wonders in these instances.

Find Quality Turquoise Jewellry

Where to Find Quality Turquoise Jewelry - By: Mayoor Patel, Posted on: 2007-06-14

Many of us enjoy owning a piece of two of turquoise jewelry. For persons who have never explored the possibility of having jewelry featuring turquoise stones or settings, here are some tips on where you can find some excellent quality pieces at reasonable prices.

Perhaps one of the best places to find this type of jewelry is by checking out various sales that are held to raise money for Native American projects. Turquoise jewelry is usually a staple at these sorts of sales, and has the bonus of being made using time honored patterns. You will find pieces that carry a graceful design that seems to almost enhance the natural state of the stone, as well as more ornate pieces. Often, you can get a certificate of authenticity with your purchases, and often some information about how the money will go to fund a particular project that will benefit Native Americans in some manner.

Along with the periodic sales, there are several parts of the country where you can purchase turquoise jewelry that is produced locally. Many states beginning in the Deep South and stretching across to the Southwest have a number of excellent locations where jewelry featuring turquoise is readily available. If you plan a vacation through these parts of the country, then contact local chambers of commerce in the cities you will be visiting. Often, you can find out about several shops that will be worth your time.

Keep in mind that at many of these local shops, and especially if you are checking out jewelry at a weekend flea market sale, there is some room to dicker over the prices. Don’t make the assumption that the price on the piece is the final word. In many instances, you can make a counter offer and then slowly come to terms with the proprietor until both of you agree on a price that makes everyone happy. You get to go home with a new piece of turquoise that you love and the owner has made another sale that drives the daily receipts up a little more.

If all else fails, you can log into you computer and do a search for turquoise jewelry online. There are a number of online stores that will feature everything from the sedate to the flashy, so there will be turquoise pieces that will be ideal for all your moods. The best thing is that you can have the jewelry delivered directly to your door, which is always a nice advantage.

Autism Awareness is at an All-Time High

Friday 10 August 2007 @ 4:42 am

You may not know it, but Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the United States. According to the Autism Society of America, Autism affacts one out of about 150 births.

The symptoms of Autism can differ greatly depending where a person falls on the Autism spectrum. Many people think of savants like in the Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman movie Rainman. However, a large number of people with Autism suffer from high functioning Autism or Aspergers Disease.

There is no cure for Autism. There are, however, many therapies and treatments for autism available that can help a person with Autism live a normal life. It is important to remember, that the treatment success rate will depend greatly on where a person falls on the Autism spectrum.

If you feel someone you love may have Autism, you should consult with your family physician or a licensed therapist and get him or her tested. The earlier a person is diagnosed with Autism, the better chances he or she will have at responding positively to the available treatments and therapies.

EARN RESIDUAL INCOME

Friday 10 August 2007 @ 4:29 am

The number of people trying to earn residual income on the Internet is staggering. Why are so many people failing at that elusive goal to earn residual income with which they can retire on?

The number one reason most people fail to earn residual income is because they lack the patience to build a residual income. By its very definition, residual income comes in over a period of time and is not a lump sum payment. It takes time to develop memberships or customers who will order a product on a monthly basis before you can earn residual income.

Many years ago, a very famous network marketing guru sent me a snail mail on his latest offering. In the letter he described how he sent out 1000 letters and signed up 400 people in his Network Marketing Opportunity. He said this proves how “hot” this company was and you better sign up quick if you wanted to get “spillover” and earn residual income.

What he failed to mention is that the 1000 people he mailed his offer to were former seminar attendees of his own making. These people paid money already to hear Mr. Guru speak about how easy it was to earn residual income using his tried and proven methods. Of course most of these people signed up with Mr Guru……..they had a prior relationship and he was the expert.

Most of us don’t have this advantage when we first start out trying to earn residual income. That’s OK……but remember it will take some time to emulate Mr Guru.

Most people will succeed if they just don’t quit. Make sure that you join a reputable business opoportunity. If possible the company you associate with should be at least 5 years old. As I am sure you know, most companies fail in the first 5 years. It becomes very difficult to earn residual income when the company you represent goes out of business and is no longer paying it’s distributors. And don’t fall for the latest “Launch” hype that is so prevalent on the Internet. Don’t sign up for every opportunity that comes down the pike. You must stay focused in order to earn residual income. Remember the time factor we discussed earlier. Keep your eyes on the “Prize”, a residual income which you can retire on.

Good Food Bad Food Whats Left to Eat

Good Food/Bad Food Whats Left to Eat?

From www.weightlossetc.net

We’ve entered the Twilight Zone when it comes to the multitude of diets being promoted today. Starting with the Atkins Diet, then the South Beach Diet, now the Hamptons Diet and more. All higher in protein, lower in carbs, but the distinction should be quality of carbs, not singling out one nutrient entirely. If you are on the Atkins Diet, South Beach Diet or any other variation of a high protein/low carb diet simply adjust from eating low quality carbs like refined flour and sugar products (think if it comes in a box, it’s likely low quality) to eating more whole food products like fresh vegetables and fruits - yes fruits.

Apples vs. Apple Jacks - You be the Judge

I know the traditional Atkins Diet doesn’t advocate much fruit (too high sugar) but think about that for one minute. My strong belief is that an apple is a good food, a bowl of Apple Jacks cereal may not be on an equal level. One is highly processed sweetened by added white sugar and corn syrup, and one is natural, plucked from a tree and sweetened by the sun. Which would you choose? Don’t shun fresh fruit for the sake of following your low carb diet to the letter.

Eliminating healthy, wholesome foods is not the best way to learn to eat better, but severely cutting back on the frequency of eating highly processed foods is. I saw a site which called it GM or MM: God Made or Man Made. If you think of those terms when you go to choose your foods, it starts to make more sense. No one says you shouldn’t eat chips, or whatever strikes your fancy, but make them a treat - and eat the GM foods more often.

Common Sense Diet

Common sense will answer the question about what to eat. If you are on Atkins, South Beach or any variation of low carb diet, avoid processed foods, not natural foods. Stop using “instant” breakfast, and cook whole rolled oats for instance. Sure you might have to get up 10 minutes earlier, oh well. You’re worth it!

You can still stay on a higher protein food plan, but this one minor adjustment will allow you to continue with your eating plan for a lifetime, rather than a short-time. I’d go insane if I couldn’t eat my daily apple, banana or other fruit. I love fruit. I think there’s a very good reason humans desire sweet foods - Vitamin C, and other nutrients, including bio-flavnoids.

Can You Be Addicted to Fruit?

I heard someone complain they were “addicted to fruit” and I had to wonder, what do they eat? The person who refuses to eat fruit because they believe it is too high in sugar, probably does eat cookies, crackers and sugary cereals. They might even drink artificially flavored and sweetened drinks, but they refuse to eat a natural food, grown from our earth? That makes no sense, if you think about it. Did our planet develop and thrive based on processed foods? No, of course not. They are very recent in the evolution of our world. Very recent. In fact, we’ve had processed foods less than 200 years while our planet is millions of years old.

With the high incidence of obesity, and our high consumption of processed foods, it’s hard not to draw the conclusion that one causes the other. You won’t hear big industry stating that case because our economy depends on us buying the products being produced by the companies that employ us. You’ll never see it reported that “scientists discovered refined flour kills,” even if it were proven true because it doesn’t support our way of life. We need industry.

Witnessing the epidemic of food illnesses such as Mad Cow, and now Bird Flu, I can envision a society without the mass produced meat industry. It will come to pass - nothing but your local farm will be allowed to sell meat because the big farm industry cannot guarantee safety of the food supply. Meat will become much more expensive because when they can no longer mass produce it, there is nowhere for prices to go but up. So do we whine and cry and moan about our misfortune or do we start to think of meat as something to savor and enjoy like the Sunday roasts we had years ago? We never ate meat every day then - and we weren’t so fat either. We simply didn’t eat as much processed foods. Most of us had moms at home cooking us dinner, making our lunches and even fixing our breakfasts.

Yes, progress marches on, but when it comes to your body, common sense rules the day. The Common Sense Diet! Try it on for size today.

Stock Trading: A Systems Approach for Stock Market Profits

Tuesday 7 August 2007 @ 10:28 am

Using a stock trading system is the foundation to consistent profits. Without a system you are exposed to higher risks and trading becomes erratic.

A key tool in a stock trading system is charts. Charts monitor stock movement over time and the trading style will determine the timeframe of investigation. Day traders are interested in changing patterns over hourly increments whilst longer term investors monitor stock changes over weeks, months and even historically over years.

One thing to look for in a stock chart is whether or not the stock is exhibiting price variations within a trading range. In this case the highs and lows of the stock’s price are bound by a consistent high and a consistent low price. Graphing the highs and lows will show a trading band which shows the sideways movement of stock price over time. The value of a stock exhibiting a trading range is is in making smaller profits based on the smaller variations in price whilst keeping an eye on the stock for potential break out behaviour where the stock my undergo either a steady price rise or decline. Some traders will monitor a stock within a trading range to be ready for a potential breakout.

Trend trading is buying and selling stocks based on the indicated upward or downward trend of the stock price. A trend is indicated when three peaks or troughs can be joined by a straight line. Both upward and downward trends can be advantagous depending on the predicted movement in price and whether you are shorting stocks on a downward trend or buying low and selling high.

Proprietory or custom software can provide many tools for charting analysis to assist in formulating and sticking to a trading system. Used wisely, charting software can save time in integrating information to assist in decision making. Charting software can also be used for archiving your data analysis for future reference.

In the end, a trader will develop their own personal style irregardless of whether the latest technology for data analyis is used or the preference is for something simple like a spreadsheet. No system is 100% perfect and the aim is not to win all the time but for the wins to exceed the losses by a fair margin and in an acceptable timeframe.

Being a savvy trader means to be aware of changes in the landscape of trading systems. At the same time, have the flexibility to create and tweak your system as a blend of both personal insights and trading tools.

Books, Music, Galore!

Tuesday 7 August 2007 @ 4:32 am

My one passion has always been books.

I have loved books ever since I was able to read and used to get books from the local children’s library by the armful, put them by my bed and read them one by one as I went to bed.

I must have read every author - Agatha Christie, Ernest Hemingway, Charles Dickens and hundreds more.

I now have two websites and they both make room for books to be offered on there.

www.baltic-european.com for aviation books and www.worldnetsources.info for all types of books by all types of authors.

If you look at the last site and you know an author that you feel should be on there, please send me an email and let me know and I will put books on there by that author.

Apart from books - there are a lot of musical artists shops I have set up on www.worldnetsources.info such as Jojo, Shania Twain, Madonna and a whole host of others - let me know of a favorite artist you would like to be on there and I will arrange it.
